Indications for battery disposal

In connection with the distribution of batteries or with the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
They are legally obliged to return used batteries as end-users. You can return old batteries, which we have run or run as new batteries in the assortment, free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipment address). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed garbage can means that the battery must not be placed in the household waste.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 % by weight of lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 % by weight of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury.

Special features when selling starter batteries

In connection with the distribution of vehicle batteries, insofar as you are a final consumer under § 10 BattG, we are obliged to charge a deposit of EUR 7.50 per vehicle battery, including sales tax, if you do not return a vehicle old battery at the time of purchase of a new vehicle battery. The deposit is not included in the purchase price and is shown on the item next to the final price.

If you return an old vehicle battery with us, which we lead or have led as a new battery in accordance with § 9 BattG, we are obliged under the legal regulations to withdraw it free of charge and refund the deposit amount.
As far as we comply with § 10 para. 1 sentence 3 BattG have issued a deposit mark, the refund of the deposit when returning the vehicle old battery depends on the return of the deposit mark.

A return of the old battery by mail is not permitted under the Dangerous Goods Regulation.

Vehicle old batteries can alternatively also be delivered free of charge at valuables and recycling stations. The pledge we collect is made by the public - legal valuables and
Recycling stations not refunded. However, they have the possibility of being able to acknowledge the return of the old vehicle battery on the Pfandmarke. You will receive the battery deposit from us against the presentation of the acknowledged deposit mark.
