Scandinavian Brake Systems A/S is one of the leading manufacturers of motorcycle brake pads worldwide.

The company was founded in 1964 and was the first manufacturer in 1977 to offer asbestos-free brake pads for the spare parts market. Since then, SBS has constantly developed the high quality of the products with only one goal: THE POWER TO STOP YOU! And that also under the most difficult conditions.

Based on the enormous know-how and experience that has been collected for decades by the participation in the motorcycle sector, SBS has also developed and produced friction materials for special applications in which efficient and durable friction is needed, such as windmills, industrial applications, go-carts, etc.

Furthermore, SBS is an important European manufacturer, equipment and developer for brake components and other associated wear parts in the automotive sector. With the recent acquisition of Notox A/S, SBS has expanded its business to a completely new area: development and production of diesel particulate filters for the automotive industry.

The production site in Svendborg, Denmark offers 11,500 m2 of area with production lines for ceramic, sinter and carbon materials.

Over the past three years, SBS has invested heavily in robot technologies and advanced manufacturing facilities. New workflows were also introduced. Together with the trained and experienced team, this ensures high efficiency in all processes from mixing the components to packaging, as well as consistently high product quality.
